Wrong Indication, No /Poor Function

MID Check Control does not display the error message "oil level low".

Cause:

The sensor for the oil level in the oilpan is wrongly installed (180� turned).

Production Solution:

Vehicles with engines between engine number 14 384 900 and 14 421 119 are affected.

Since engine number 14 421 120 the sensor has been mounted correctly.

Remedy:

In case of complaint, the sensor must be turned 180� around.

Working instruction:

Remove and refit the oil pan see Service-Instruction Omega-B issue 03 /98.

Remove the oil level sensor and refit the oil level sensor 180� turned. Important is the correct adjustment of the sensor cabel (see picture). The arrow will point in driving direction. Install the oil pan with new gasket.
