Coolant Pipe, Removing and Installing Audi TT 8N

Removing

Note. Collect drained coolant in a clean container for re-use or disposal.

1. Remove thermostat housing. Refer to «Thermostat housing, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S29370771572008010300000) .
2. Remove bracket for ancillary units. Refer to «Bracket for ancillary units, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S32732737022008010300000) .
3. Unclip bracket for wiring on right from coolant pipe.
4. Remove wiring harness from retainer on left.

1. Pull off coolant hose to oil cooler.
2. Pull coolant pipe out of cylinder block.

Installing

Note. Always replace seals and gaskets.

1. Before installing, clean and smoothen sealing surfaces for O-ring.

Scheme 219

1. Lubricate new O-ring -1- with "G 12+" and push onto coolant pipe -2-.
2. Slide coolant pipe into bore in cylinder block.
3. Install bracket for ancillary units. Refer to «Bracket for ancillary units, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S32732737022008010300000) .
4. Install thermostat housing. Refer to «Thermostat housing, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S29370771572008010300000) .

1. Fill cooling system. Refer to «Cooling system, draining and filling»(ref-276269-S04050758062008010300000) .
