After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-, Removing and Installing Audi TT 8N

Special tools and equipment required

1. Drip tray V.A.G 1306

1. Hose clip pliers V.A.G 1921

Removing

1. Open filler cap on coolant expansion tank.

1. Remove fasteners -1...3- and center sound insulation.
2. Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 under engine.

1. Turn drain plug (arrow) on radiator counter-clockwise. If necessary install a drain hose to connection.

1. In addition, remove lower coolant hose at After-run coolant pump -V51- (arrow) and drain remaining coolant.

Scheme 221

1. Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
2. Disconnect coolant hose -2-.
3. Pull After-run coolant pump -V51- downward out of rubber retainers. If necessary, spray with silicone-free lubricant.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order. Note the following

1. Fill cooling system. Refer to «Cooling system, draining and filling»(ref-276269-S04050758062008010300000) .

1 - Coolant fan -V7

1. Removing and installing. Refer to «Coolant fan -V7- and Coolant fan -2- -V177-, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S42427247122008010300000)

2 - Retaining clips

1. For electrical wiring going to fans
2. Check for firm attachment

3 - Coolant Fan Control (FC) thermal switch -F18

1. Tighten to 35 Nm

4 - Seal

1. Replace

5 - Coolant hose

1. To disconnect, release retaining clip

6 - O-ring

1. Replace

7 - Radiator

1. Removing and installing. Refer to «Radiator, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S03116130422008010300000)
2. After replacing, fill with new coolant

8 - 15 Nm

9 - Bracket for radiator

1. Note installed position

10 - 10 Nm

11 - 10 Nm

12 - Radiator cowl

13 - Coolant fan -2- -V177

1. Removing and installing. Refer to «Coolant fan -V7- and Coolant fan -2- -V177-, removing and installing»(ref-276269-S42427247122008010300000)
