Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing and Installing Audi TT 8N

Special tools and equipment required

  1. Counterhold T10069

Removing

  1. Transmission removed
  1. Mark installation position of flywheel on engine.

Note. To prevent damage to the dual-mass flywheel when removing, the bolts -B- must not be removed with an impact wrench or similar. Removing the bolts must be done by hand with conventional tools.

  1. Rotate dual-mass flywheel -A- so that bolts align with holes (arrows).

Note. When removing the bolts, make sure that the bolt heads do not come into contact with the dual-mass flywheel. The flywheel will otherwise be damaged as the bolts are unscrewed.

  1. Unbolt dual-mass flywheel (counterhold on vibration damper with T10069).

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order. Note the following.

Note. Use new bolts for securing the flywheel.
