Piston with Con Rod
The X 18 XE1 is equipped with new flat-head pistons and con-rods of lightweight construction.
Optimum conditions for a minimum hydrocarbon raw emission value are brought about by the low top land height of the flat-head piston and by the omission of the valve pockets.
The mating surfaces on the cod-rod and the con-rod bearing cap form an individual fit and must not be replaced under any circumstances.
