Cylinder Head - Valve Timing Opel Vectra B

DOHC Petrol Engine 1 illustration ~103 words

Valve Timing

Valve timing is effected via two camshafts (DOHC). The cams actuate low–friction roller cam followers. The roller cam followers are supported by the hydraulic valve lifters and actuate the valves. The valve clearance is automatically compensated by the hydraulic valve lifters. The valve stem is sealed via valve stem seals with an integrated valve spring plate.

There are two intake and exhaust valves for each cylinder. The spark plugs are positioned vertically between the four cylinders.

Technical data:

Intake valve headØ 35.1mm
Exhaust valve headØ 30.1mm
