How to Repair Using Short-Block Engine the Engine Opel Vectra B

Engine, Repair Using Short-Block

Remove engine - see operation "Engine, Remove and Install".

Remove all cable and hose connections from engine.

Attach engine with transmission to workshop hoist and detach from front axle body.

Remove transmission from cylinder block.

Fix engine with Adapters KM-412-8-A to Overhaul Stands KM-412 - remove necessary attaching parts.

Remove all attaching parts from engine - see corresponding operations.

Emboss engine number in cylinder block (arrow) with numbers punch.

Drive new centring sleeves (1) into cylinder block up to stop.

Install all attaching parts on engine - see corresponding operations. Required tightening torques - see "Recommended Torque Values".

Disconnect engine from assembly stands and Adapter KM-412-8-A from engine.

Attach transmission to cylinder block.

Connect engine with transmission to front axle body. Install or connect all engine attaching parts, hose and cable connections.

Install engine - see operation "Engine, Remove and Install".
