Y 16 XE DOHC I Engine

The Y 16 XE engine is a further advancement of the Opel ECOTEC engine generation and is based on the X 16 XEL engine, previously used in the Astra�G, Vectra�B and Zafira. The most significant new features in the Y 16 XE engine are the components which have been modified to satisfy the requirements of the D4 exhaust emissions standard.

The main differences between the Y 16 XE and the X 16 XEL engines are listed in the table below.
