Accelerating from low engine speed range could generate exhaust noise (Similar to a leaky exhaust manifold).

Cause:

The noise in the exhaust system is caused by shock waves. Leaks are generally not the cause.

Production Solution:

From engine No. 08 146 958 (CW 34 /96) improved exhaust manifolds are used in production.

In case of complaint install improved exhaust manifolds.
