Engine - Stalling, Motor Is Difficult to Restart Opel Vectra B

Subject:Engine - Stalling, difficult to restart engine TC P0100 is set

Complaint:Engine stalling, motor is difficult to restart, engine runs rough whilst driving or engine telltale comes on or TC P0100 is set.
Cause:Fretting corrosion on the hotfilm airmass meter sensor plug connec- tion due to movement of motor.
Production:

Remedy:

In case of complaint fit a new airmass meter sensor plug and socket.

Instruction:

Replace airmass sensor.

Remove old plug and install new ensuring the 4 cables are correctly located and secured (new plugs should be ordered by TIC).

Secure the new plug to the airmass sensor with two crossed over cable ties to ensure relative movement of the connection and sensor is minimised.

Be careful to ensure that the hood insulation does not press on to the cable connection
