  1. 11. Remove metering unit (1) • Unscrew lower bolt from metering unit (3) • Lower vehicle • Unscrew upper bolt from metering unit (2) •

Important. Take care to ensure that no foreign bodies enter the pump feed.

  1. 12. Replace metering unit seal ring • Coat new seal ring with new engine oil • Ensure it is seated correctly •

Important. Take care to ensure that no foreign bodies enter the pump feed.

  1. 13. Check 2x fuel feed holes (arrow) for contamination

Install

  1. 14. Install metering unit • Apply new engine oil to metering unit O-ring (1) • Tighten upper bolt for metering unit 10 Nm • Raise vehicle • Tighten lower bolt for metering unit 10 Nm
  1. 15. Install high pressure line • Tighten 2x union nuts • Connect holder – Tighten bolt – Diameter 6.00 mm - tightening torque 30 Nm – Diameter 6.36 mm - tightening torque 25 Nm

Note. Before installing the high pressure line, the diameter of the high pressure line must be measured. This diameter is used to select the appropriate torque:

  1. 16. Connect wiring harness plug of rail pressure sensor
  2. 17. Install lower wiring harness bracket • Tighten 2 nuts
  3. 18. Install ambient pressure sensor • Connect wiring harness plug
