Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Suppress injection using TECH II • Detach cover • Remove protective cap • Connect TECH II to socket
  3. 3. Remove sheathed glow plugs

Measure

  1. 4. Connect compression plotter to no.1 cylinder • Carefully screw in KM-6367 • Attach compression pressure plotter – To KM-6367 – Measuring range 1000 to 4000 kPa (10 to 40 bar)

Note. Note manufacturer's provisions

  1. 5. Check compression pressure • Start engine for approx. 4 seconds • Maximum permissible pressure difference: 150 kPa (1.5 bar). • Detach compression plotter from no. 1 cylinder using KM-6367

Note. Use a second person

Note. Engine speed at least 200 rpm.

  1. 6. Check compression pressure • Cylinders 2 to 4
  2. 7. Compare compression values • Maximum permissible pressure difference: 150 kPa (1.5 bar).

Install

  1. 8. Install sheathed glow plugs
  2. 9. Detach TECH II • Detach TECH II from socket • Fit protective cap • Attach cover
  3. 10. Close bonnet
