Check Engine Oil Pressure Opel Meriva A

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach ground clamp from ground terminal – Undo nut
3. 3. Remove engine cover.
4. 4. Place collecting basin underneath
5. 5. Remove oil pressure sensor (1) • Disconnect wiring harness connector. • Unscrew oil pressure sensor

Inspect

6. 6. Attach KM-498-B with adapter KM-135

7. 7. Connect battery • Attach ground clamp to ground terminal – Tighten nut
8. 8. Check engine oil pressure • Start engine. • Switch off engine

Note. The oil pressure should be approx. 140 kPa ( 1.4 bar ) at idling speed and with the engine warmed up.

9. 9. Disconnect battery • Detach ground clamp from ground terminal – Undo nut
10. 10. Remove KM-498-B and KM-135

Install

11. 11. Install oil pressure sensor • Tighten oil pressure sensor 32 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
12. 12. Install engine cover.
13. 13. Connect battery • Attach ground clamp to ground terminal – Tighten nut
14. 14. Program volatile memory
15. 15. Close bonnet
