How to Replace the Oil Filter Module Opel Meriva A

Remove

1. 1. Remove air intake manifold • Unscrew 2x bolt • Unclip 3x wiring harnesses • Detach engine vent hose – Disconnect quick-release fitting • Detach from air intake manifold – Release clamp • Detach from turbocharger – Release clamp
2. 2. Remove turbocharger charge air hose at charge air pipe • Release 2x clamp
3. 3. Detach turbocharger charge air pipe from intercooler • Unscrew 2x nut
4. 4. Raise vehicle all the way
5. 5. Detach charge air hose from intercooler • Release clamp • Remove charge air hose with charge air pipe
6. 6. Place collecting basin underneath
7. 7. Drain coolant • Open drain plug • Close drain bolt
8. 8. Lower vehicle all the way
9. 9. Remove oil filter housing heat shield • Unscrew 2x bolt • Unscrew nut

10. 10. Detach pre-heating system (1) wiring harness • Disconnect 4x sheathed glow plug wiring harness plugs (3) • Disconnect oil pressure switch wiring harness plug (2)

11. 11. Detach heat shield (1) from exhaust manifold • Unscrew 2x nut – Remove engine transport shackle

12. 12. Place collecting basin underneath
13. 13. Detach turbocharger oil feed line (1) • Unscrew 2x banjo bolts

14. 14. Remove oil filter housing/heat exchanger housing (1) • Detach coolant pipe – Unscrew 2x bolt • Detach lower radiator hose – Release clamp • Unscrew 4x bolt

15. 15. Cleaning work • From cylinder block, catalytic converter

Install

16. 16. Install oil filter housing/heat exchanger housing • Replace seal • Tighten 4x bolts 9 Nm • Attach lower radiator hose – Fasten clamp • Attach coolant pipe – Replace seal – Tighten 2x bolt 9 Nm
17. 17. Install turbocharger oil feed line • Replace 4x seal rings • Tighten 2x banjo bolt 12 Nm
18. 18. Attach heat shield to exhaust manifold • Tighten nut (M6) 9 Nm – Remove engine transport shackle • Tighten nut (M8) 25 Nm – Insert engine transport shackle
19. 19. Attach wiring harness for pre-heating system • Connect 4x sheathed glow plug wiring harness plugs • Connect oil pressure switch wiring harness plug
20. 20. Install oil filter housing heat shield • Tighten bolt 9 Nm • Tighten nut 9 Nm
21. 21. Raise vehicle all the way
22. 22. Secure catalytic converter to transmission bracket • Tighten bolt 25 Nm
23. 23. Attach charge air hose to intercooler • Insert charge air hose with charge air pipe • Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm
24. 24. Lower vehicle all the way
25. 25. Attach turbocharger charge air pipe to intercooler • Tighten 2x nuts
26. 26. Fit turbocharger charge air hose to charge air pipe • Tighten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
27. 27. Install air intake manifold • Attach to turbocharger – Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm • Attach to air intake manifold – Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm • Tighten 2 bolts • Attach engine vent hose – Fasten clamp • Clip in 3x wiring harnesses
28. 28. Top up coolant
29. 29. Check engine oil level, if necessary correct. • Observe specified engine oil quantity
