DTC P0460-A: FUEL LEVEL UNIT NO CHANGE OVER MILES Chrysler LHS II

Note. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

  1. Refer to appropriate BODY CONTROL COMPUTER TESTS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for fuel level sending unit testing. Using scan tool, read fuel level sending unit voltage. Record voltage reading. If fuel level sending unit voltage is .1 volt or more, go to next step. If voltage is less than .1 volt, go to «DTC P0462-A: FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT VOLTS TOO LOW»(ref-576-S21864658542000030800000) .
  2. If voltage is 4.8 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is less than 4.8 volts, go to «DTC P0463-A: FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT VOLTS TOO HIGH»(ref-576-S40889226652000030800000) .
  3. Add 5 gallons of fuel to fuel tank. Using scan tool, read fuel level sending unit voltage. If fuel level sending unit voltage decreased by at least .2 volts, go to next step. If fuel level sending unit voltage did not decrease by at least .2 volts, replace fuel pump module. Perform «TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION»(ref-576-S22124556262000030800000) .
  4. Condition to set trouble code is not present at this time. Inspect all related wiring and connectors and repair as necessary. If no problems were found with wiring and connectors, see «INACTIVE TROUBLE CODE CONDITION»(ref-576-S27765318282000030800000) under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. If related wiring and connectors were repaired, perform «TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION»(ref-576-S22124556262000030800000) .
