DTC P0406-B: EGR POSITION SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH Chrysler LHS II

1. Using scan tool, actuate EGR solenoid and monitor EGR sensor voltage. If voltage change was smooth, go to next step. If voltage change was not smooth, replace EGR solenoid assembly. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S06971814902000030800000) .
2. Stop actuating EGR solenoid. While monitoring EGR position sensor voltage, wiggle EGR position sensor wiring harness. If EGR position sensor voltage did not change when wiggling wiring harness, go to next step. If EGR position sensor voltage changes, repair wiring harness as necessary where wiggling caused problem to appear. 3. Condition to set trouble code is not present at this time. Inspect all related wiring, connectors and hoses and repair as necessary. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S06971814902000030800000) . If no problems were found with wiring, connectors and hoses, see «INACTIVE TROUBLE CODE CONDITION»(ref-576-S27765318282000030800000) under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. Test is complete. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S06971814902000030800000) .
