DTC P0132-A: O2S 1/1 SHORTED TO VOLTAGE Chrysler LHS II

Note. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

  1. For O2 sensor/model identification see «O2 SENSOR 1/1 IDENTIFICATION»(ref-576-S38121616342000030800000) table. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If Global Good Trip displayed is zero, go to next step. If Global Good Trip displayed is not zero, go to step 4 . O2 SENSOR 1/1 IDENTIFICATION Application Location Concorde, Intrepid, LHS & 300M Right Bank Upstream O2S
  2. Disconnect O2S 1/1 connector. Connect a DVOM between O2S 1/1 connector (harness side) signal circuit and ground. See «O2S 1/1 CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION (HARNESS SIDE)»(ref-576-S35580416932000030800000) table. Start engine. If O2S 1/1 voltage is more than 5.5 volts, go to next step. If O2S 1/1 voltage is 5.5 volts or less, go to «DTC P0132-B: O2S 1/1 SHORTED TO VOLTAGE»(ref-576-S00661852212000030800000) .
  3. Turn ignition off, then on. Observe O2S 1/1 voltage. If O2S 1/1 voltage is more than 5.5 volts, repair short to voltage on O2S 1/1 sensor signal circuit. Problem is present with ignition on, engine off. See «O2S 1/1 CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION (HARNESS SIDE)»(ref-576-S35580416932000030800000) table. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S36272092702000030800000) . If O2S 1/1 voltage is 5.5 volts or less, repair short to voltage on O2S 1/1 sensor signal circuit. Problem is present with engine running. See «O2S 1/1 CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION (HARNESS SIDE)»(ref-576-S35580416932000030800000) table. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S36272092702000030800000) .
  4. Disconnect O2S 1/1 connector. Connect a DVOM between O2S 1/1 connector signal circuit (harness side) and ground. See «O2S 1/1 CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION (HARNESS SIDE)»(ref-576-S35580416932000030800000) table. Start engine. Observe DVOM while wiggling O2S wiring harness. If voltage is more than 5.5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 5.5 volts or less, go to «DTC P0132-C: O2S 1/1 SHORTED TO VOLTAGE»(ref-576-S18659283902000030800000) .
  5. Turn ignition off, then on. Observe DVOM while wiggling O2S wiring harness. If voltage is more than 5.5 volts, repair short to voltage on O2S 1/1 signal circuit. Problem is present with ignition on, engine off. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S36272092702000030800000) . If voltage is 5.5 volts or less, repair short to voltage on O2S 1/1 signal circuit. Problem is present with engine running. Perform «TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES»(ref-576-S36272092702000030800000) .
