Replace Camshaft Sensor Opel Astra H

Remove

  1. 1. Remove toothed belt
  2. 2. Remove camshaft sprocket • Unscrew bolt (2) • Counterhold at camshaft sprocket with EN-46787 (1) together with KM-956-1

Important. When counterholding, do not damage the camshaft sensor (arrow)

  1. 3. Remove camshaft sensor (1) • Disconnect wiring harness connector. • Remove panelling – Unscrew 2x bolts (2)

Install

  1. 4. Install camshaft sensor • Attach panelling – Tighten 2x bolt 9 Nm • Fix wiring harness plug

Note. Clean thread before re-using and insert bolt with locking compound (red). The maximum installation time is 10 minutes.

  1. 5. Install camshaft sprocket • Tighten new bolt 120 Nm – Counterhold at camshaft sprocket with EN-46787 together with KM-956-1

Important. When counterholding, do not damage the camshaft sensor

  1. 6. Install toothed belt
