Transmission - Replacing: Removal & Installation Volvo S60 I

Removal of external parts

Open the cap on the radiator expansion tank.

Remove

1. both the front wheels
2. the front splash guard according to: «Sub-frame front, replacing»(ref-445738-S28904871842012010600000) .
3. the splash guard under the engine

Scheme 1497

Place a receptacle under the radiator. Drain the coolant.

Open the nipples on the radiator and engine block. Close the nipples.

Scheme 1498

Remove

1. the engine cover
2. the engine stabilizer brace between the suspension turrets and the engine
3. the air filter box complete with intake manifold. Unhook the turbo control valve from the air box. Pull the air filter box up from its attachments.
