Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault:
· Ignition ON, Idle speed OK · Engine does not start:
engine at idle speed - Interruption in the reference lead
from control unit to distributor
- Or short circuit to ground
- Interruption in the injection valve lead from control unit to nozzle
- Or short circuit to ground
- Injector defective
· Engine does not start:
- Data connection to TECH 1

- Control unit defective
· Measure resistance approx. 1.5 ohms ± 0.2 ohms · Nozzle defective
value of injection valve at
room temperature
(20 °C/68 °F)
IMPORTANT: The resistance increases to approx. 1.8 ± 0.2 ohms when warm.
