· Coolant temperature higher than 85 °C/185 °F
· Throttle valve aperture greater than 6 %
· Following trouble codes not stored: 21, 22, 33, 34
· The fault is recognized by the control unit if the oxygen sensor voltage is in the range 350 to 550 mV for longer than 20 s (lead interruption, oxygen sensor defective).
If trouble code 13 was recognized, the control unit takes 450 mV as replacement voltage (oxygen sensor control switched off).
Note:
If the oxygen sensor is wrapped in aluminium foil, remove the foil. Then delete trouble code. If trouble code is set again, start trouble-shooting.
