The intake manifold module is made of plastic (and not aluminium as in the X 10 XE). Four rubber seal rings are used as seals between the cylinder head and intake manifold module.
The exhaust gas recirculation valve is connected to the intake manifold via a separate high-grade steel pipe (and not via a duct in the cylinder head, as in the X 10 XE) (see section 3.2).
