C 14 SEL / C 16 SEL DOHC Petrol Engine
Corsa-B and Tigra are additionally available with engine versions C 14 SEL / C 16 SEL, which were especially adapted for the export market outside Europe. These engines are based on the X 14 XE / X 16 XE engine.
The following modifications apply to the C 14 SEL / C 16 SEL engines for operation with lower octane fuel (min. RON 91) or unleaded fuel.
- New pistons result in reduced compression.
- Heated, lead-resistant oxygen sensor installed.
- No exhaust gas recirculation.
- No secondary air system
The control unit calibration and wiring harness have been adapted to the new engine versions.
