How to Check the Checking and Adjusting Operations - Compression Opel Corsa B

Checking and Adjustment Operations

Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature ≥ 80 ° C/176 ° F).

Remove ignition module - see operation "Ignition Module, Remove and Install".

Remove spark plugs with KM-194-E.

Release and detach wiring harness plugs (1) and (2) from engine control unit.

Use compression recorder with rubber cone and measuring range up to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar).

Actuate starter for approx. 4 seconds with throttle valve fully open - minimum engine speed 300 rpm.

The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).

Connect wiring harness plug to engine control unit and lock.

Attach spark plugs with KM-194-E to cylinder head - tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.

Install ignition module - see operation "Ignition Module, Remove and Install".
