Inductive Pulse Pick-Up, Remove and Install
Detach wiring harness plug for inductive pulse pick-up (1).
Then release retaining spring using screwdriver and pull plug housing out of bracket.
Unbolt inductive pulse pick-up from bracket on oil pump housing (arrow).
Insert inductive pulse pick-up into bracket - tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
At the same time, ensure everything is completely clean, otherwise the reference gap for the inductive pulse pick-up / increment disc may become to large, thus leading to operational malfunctions.
After installing the inductive pulse pick-up, the reference gap must be checked - see corresponding operation.
Insert plug housing for inductive pulse pick-up into bracket on fuel distributor pipe and connect wiring harness plug (1).
Secure wiring harness on engine, at the same time ensure correct cable routing.
