Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly Replace

Remove

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belt Replace .
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.
  3. Disconnect the breather hose and PCV hose from the cylinder head cover.

Note: The accessory drive belt tensioner pulley is not serviced separately. If the pulley is found to be faulty, the entire tensioner assembly must be replaced.

Important: Repairing a damaged accessory drive belt pulley should not be attempted under any circumstances.

Install

  1. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner assembly (1).
  2. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner bolts (2).

Tighten

Tighten the accessory drive belt tensioner attaching bolts to 50 N•m (37 lb-ft).
