Oil Pan Replace

Remove

1. Remove the engine undercover. Refer to Engine Under Covers Replace .
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove the charge air system hoses and ducts.

4. Remove the oil pan flange-to-transmission bolts.
5. Remove the A/C compressor lower bolts.
6. Remove the oil pan.

Clean

1. Clean the oil pan sealing surface.
2. Clean the engine bed plate sealing surface.
3. Clean the oil pan bolts.
4. Clean the engine bed plate bolt holes.

Install

Note: If you change the engine oil, reset the engine oil life by using scan tool.

1. Coat the sealant (LOCTITE 5900) on the oil pan sealing surface.

2. Install the oil pan.
3. Install the A/C compressor lower bolts.
4. Install the oil pan flange-to-transmission bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the oil pan tightening bolts to 11 N•m (97.4 lb-in).

Tighten the A/C compressor lower bolts to 23 N•m (17 lb-ft).

Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transmission bolts to 50 N•m (36.9 lb-ft).
