Engine Block Replace

DW100-130 Engine Overhaul Stand
KM-470-B Angular Torque Gauge
Disassemble
1. Remove the engine. For MY2007 refer to Engine Assembly Replace . From MY2008 refer to Engine Assembly Replace .
2. Remove the flywheel or flexible plate bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel or flexible plate.
4. Mount the engine assembly on the engine overhaul stand DW100-130.
5. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head and Gasket Replace .
6. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replace .
7. Remove the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Strainer Replace .
8. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replace .
9. Remove the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Replace .
- Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Replace .
- Remove the alternator. Refer to Alternator Replace .
- Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to Compressor Replace .
- Remove the A/C compressor and alternator bracket.
Assembly
1. Install the A/C compressor and alternator bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the A/C compressor and alternator bracket bolts to 35 N•m (25.8 lb-ft).
2. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to Compressor Replace .
3. Install the alternator. Refer to Alternator Replace .
4. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Replace .
5. Install the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Replace .
6. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replace .
7. Install the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Strainer Replace .
8. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replace .
9. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head and Gasket Replace .
10. Install the flywheel or flexible plate.
Tighten
Tighten the flywheel or flexible plate tightening bolts to 105 N•m (77.4 lb-ft).
