Engine Performance Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Diagnostics - 2 of 14 (Convertible): Wiring Volvo C70 I

Testing & Diagnostics

Checking signal wiring resistance

  1. Ignition off.
  2. Wait for approximately 150 seconds (cars with immobilizer 245 seconds).
  3. Idle air control (IAC) valve disconnected. Connect an ohmmeter between idle air control (IAC) valve connector terminals 1 and 3.

The ohmmeter should read 20 - 40 kohms.

  1. OK Refer to «Checking idle air control (IAC) valve»(ref-404027-S32748167052011061000000)
  2. 0 ohms Refer to «Checking for a short-circuit»(ref-404027-S19755723822011061000000)
  3. 10-20 kohms Refer to «Checking for a short-circuit»(ref-404027-S24280287862011061000000)
