Replace Fuel Pressure Sensor (High Pressure) Opel Astra H

Note. When working on the fuel system, cleanliness must be strictly observed as even small particles of dirt can lead to faults in the engine or fuel system. The injectors may only be removed with the engine cold and with unequivocal diagnosis.

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach earth connection – Slacken nut
3. 3. Remove engine cover
4. 4. Release fuel pressure • Use KM-J-34730-91 • Unscrew protective cap from test connection – From fuel line
5. 5. Remove fuel pressure sensor (high pressure) (2) • Undo cable tie • Release and unplug wiring harness plug (1)

Install

6. 6. Replace sealing ring • Use KM-6365

Note. Connect KM-6365 such that the seal ring is not damaged at the thread during assembly.

7. 7. Tighten fuel pressure sensor (high pressure) 25 Nm • Connect and lock wiring harness plug • Attach cable ties
8. 8. Connect battery • Attach earth connection – Tighten nut

Important. Wear protective goggles and protective gloves.

9. 9. Fuel System, Check for Leaks • Start engine.

Note. Check fuel system for escaping fuel.

10. 10. Attach engine cover
11. 11. Close bonnet
12. 12. Program volatile memories
