DTC P1170: HO2S (FRONT) STUCK Kia Sephia I рестайлинг

Note. 1.6L HO2S has 3-wire connector. 1.8L HO2S has 4-wire connector. Testing is the same.

Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (Front) stuck code may be set by

  1. Low fuel.
  2. HO2S (front) malfunction.
  3. Open or short circuit between HO2S (front) terminal No. 1 and PCM connector C254 terminal No. 2.
  4. Intake, fuel or ignition malfunction.
  1. Check PCM and HO2S connectors. Repair as needed. Go to next step.
  2. Check PCM pin voltage at connector C254 terminal No. 2. See «PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS»(ref-25101) . If voltage is out of specification, go to next step. If voltage is correct, go to step 5).
  3. Disconnect HO2S connector. Check continuity between HO2S connector terminal No. 1 and PCM connector C254 terminal No. 2. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair or replace wiring.
  4. Ensure fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, MAF sensor, ECT sensor, spark plugs and air/fuel ratio are okay. Repair or replace as needed. If all components are okay, replace HO2S.
  5. Clear code. Recheck codes. If code returns, replace PCM. If code does not return, problem is intermittent.
