DTC P0703: BRAKE SWITCH MALFUNCTION Kia Sephia I рестайлинг

Brake pedal switch input malfunction code may be set by

  1. Brake pedal switch malfunction.
  2. Open or short circuit between PCM connector C248 terminal No. 9 and brake switch terminal No. 4.
  3. Open or short circuit between brake switch terminal No. 1 and battery positive.
  1. Check brake switch terminal and PCM connections. Repair as needed. Go to next step.
  2. Check PCM pin voltage at connector C248 terminal No. 9. See «PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS»(ref-25101) article in this section. If voltage is okay, go to step 4). If voltage is out of specification go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Check continuity between PCM connector C248 terminal No. 9 and brake switch terminal connector C212 terminalNo. 4. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open circuit.
  4. Clear code. Recheck codes. If code returns, replace PCM. If code does not return, problem is intermittent.
