DTC P0505: IAC SYSTEM MALFUNCTION Kia Sephia I рестайлинг

Idle Air Control (IAC) system malfunction code may be set by

  1. Air leak in air intake system.
  2. IAC malfunction.
  3. Open or short circuit between IAC terminal No. 1 and EGI main relay terminal No. 4.
  4. Open or short circuit between IAC terminal No. 2 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 9.
  1. Check IAC and PCM connections. Repair as needed. Go to next step.
  2. Check PCM pin voltage at connector C249 terminal No. 9. See «PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS»(ref-25101) . If voltage is okay, go to step 6). If voltage is out of specification, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect IAC connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage at IAC connector terminal No. 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between IAC terminal No. 1 and main relay terminal No. 4.
  4. Turn ignition off. Check continuity between PCM connector C249 terminal No. 9 and IAC connector terminal No. 2. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair or replace wiring.
  5. Check continuity between IAC terminals No. 1 and 2. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace IAC valve.
  6. Clear code. Recheck codes. If code returns, replace PCM. If code does not return, problem is intermittent.
