DTC P0340: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION Kia Sephia I рестайлинг

Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction code may be set by

  1. Camshaft position sensor malfunction.
  2. Open or short circuit between distributor terminal No. 3 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 16 (1.6L and 1.8L).
  3. Open or short circuit between distributor terminal No. 4 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 4 (1.6L) or distributor terminal No. 1 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 1 (1.8L).
  1. Check PCM and distributor connectors. Repair as needed. Go to next step.
  2. Disconnect distributor. Check continuity between distributor connector terminal No. 3 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 16 (1.6L and 1.8L). Check continuity between distributor connector terminal No. 4 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 4 (1.6L) or distributor terminal No. 1 and PCM connector C249 terminal No. 1 (1.8L). Repair or replace wiring as needed. Go to next step.
  3. Check camshaft position sensor. See «SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS»(ref-25100) article. Replace as needed. Go to next step.
  4. Clear code. Recheck codes. If code returns, replace PCM. If code does not return, problem is intermittent.
