1. VW387 dial gauge holder

1. Attach dial indicator together with VW387 dial gauge holder to cylinder block and set indicator against crankshaft counterweight.
2. Press crankshaft against dial indicator by hand, set indicator to 0.
3. Press crankshaft away from dial indicator.
4. Read clearance. CRANKSHAFT AXIAL CLEARANCE SPECIFICATION Clearance when new Wear limit 0.07 to 0.23mm 0.25 mm
