How to Check the Compression Opel Zafira B

Note. Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature >= 80 °C).

Remove

1. 1. Remove ignition module – see operation "Ignition Module, Remove and Install", Use compression recorder with rubber cone and measuring range up to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar).

Note. Open throttle valve using TECH 2 - use program, Check Compression (TECH 2).

Inspect

2. 2. Actuate starter for approx. 4 seconds with throttle valve fully open – minimum engine speed 300 rpm. The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).

Install

3. 3. Install ignition module – see operation "Ignition Module, Remove and Install",
