Remove
- 1. Remove cap from coolant expansion tank
- 2. Disconnect hose (1) from oil filler on air cleaner assembly, then move to one side • Release clip (2)
- 3. Disconnect hose (2) from mass air flow meter (1) • Release clip
- 4. Disconnect harness connector (3) from mass air flow meter
- 5. Remove air intake duct (1) from air cleaner assembly (2) and front panel • Release 2x clip
- 6. Remove air cleaner assembly from support frame • Pull off from 4x locating peg (1)
- 7. For M9R 630 engine, remove hose (1) from turbocharger intake pipe • Release vacuum pipe for turbocharger wastegate from clip • Release clip
- 8. For M9R 630 engine, release harness from thermostat housing • Release clip
- 9. Disconnect harness connector (1) from coolant temperature sensor
- 10. Remove coolant temperature sensor (1) from thermostat housing • Place collecting container below • Remove clip (2), then pull out • Remove O ring
Note. Coolant hoses are shown removed for clarity.
Install
- 11. Install new coolant temperature sensor (1) to thermostat housing • Install new O ring • Push in, then secure clip (2)
- 12. Connect harness connector (1) to coolant temperature sensor
- 13. For M9R 630 engine, secure harness to thermostat housing • Secure clip
- 14. For M9R 630 engine, install hose (1) to turbocharger intake pipe • Secure vacuum pipe for turbocharger wastegate to clip • Secure clip
- 15. Install air cleaner assembly to support frame • Push on to 4x locating peg (1)
- 16. Install air intake duct (1) to air cleaner assembly (2) and front panel • Secure 2x clip
- 17. Connect harness connector (3) to mass air flow meter
- 18. Connect hose (2) to mass air flow meter (1) • Secure clip
- 19. Connect hose (1) to oil filler on air cleaner assembly • Secure clip (2)
- 20. Refill coolant expansion tank to maximum level
- 21. Install cap to coolant expansion tank
