Remedy:
In case of complaint the dealer will need to program using the special VCI procedure as the correct software is not currently in the SPS database.
The dealer will need to send the VIN of the vehicle and the identification data of the new ECU for a 'special VCI' code to be calculated. VCI code requests are made in the normal manner (used currently for Antara and Movano). The identification data is retrieved via Tech2 / MDI and TIS2Web via the ECU data button.
Once this code is obtained it can be used to program the vehicle.
Requested VCI codes are VIN sensitive therefore a new code will be required for every field case. The time between request and delivery of the code will be short providing all the correct data is available and the full VIN / ID-data is supplied.
