Engine Management System Opel Vivaro A

Fuel Injection Systems 1 illustration ~143 words

For vehicles with MTA (Techshift), the Bosch EDC 16 C3 engine management system is used. The Bosch EDC 16 C3 engine management system is similar to the system installed in Movano with ZD3 200 and ZD3 202 engines.

• Service: The fuel injectors are programmable with Tech 2.

If the engine control unit or fuel injectors are replaced, they must be reprogrammed with Tech 2.

Important: The fuel injectors used in the EDC 16 fuel injection system are calibrated with their corrective values to ensure correct and precise flow. This process, known as IMA calibration, requires that the corrective value of each fuel injector replaced must be programmed into the engine control unit. The corrective values are recorded on a label which is fixed to the upper surface of each fuel injector.
