Accelerated Idle Option Opel Vivaro A

Fuel Injection Systems 1 illustration ~210 words

General

The accelerated idle option allows the increasing of the engine idle speed for vehicles with power take-off.

The accelerated idle option is controlled through the engine control unit on vehicles equipped with the EDC 15 C3 or EDC 15 C13 engine management system. Programming and fault diagnosis on the accelerated idle option is carried out using Tech 2.

The functioning of the accelerated idle option is integrated with the functioning of other electronically controlled options, e.g. refrigeration unit.

The default accelerated idle speed is 1000 rpm. The accelerated idle speed may be set between 1000 rpm and 2000 rpm in 100 rpm increments using Tech 2. For safety reasons, when the accelerated idle speed is set to 1300 rpm and above, the vehicle must be stationary with the parking brake applied before activation of the accelerated idle function.
