Injector Replacement

- Relieve fuel pressure between the engine and the manual shut-off valve (see «FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING»(ref-379885-S00491482462010121600000) ).
- Remove the cowl cover and the under-cowl panel, refer to «COWL COVER REPLACEMENT»(ref-255527-S15281345902007060300000) ).
- Disconnect the connectors (A) on the injectors, the fuel temperature sensor, the MAP sensor, and the rocker arm oil control valve.
- Remove the wire harness clips (B).
- Remove the nut (C) and the fuel feed hose (D).
- Remove the fuel rail mounting nuts (E) from the fuel rail (F).
- Remove the screws (G) and the injector clips (H) from the fuel rail.
- Remove the injector covers (I) from the injectors.
- Install the injector covers (A).
- Coat the new O-rings (B) with silicone oil or polyalkyleneglycol (PAG) oil, then insert the injectors (C) into the fuel rail (D).
- Install the injector clips (E) and the screws (F).
- Install the fuel rail and the injectors into the cylinder head (G).
- Install the fuel rail mounting nuts.
- Connect the fuel feed hose with a new O-ring (H), then install the nut (I).
- Connect the connectors on the injectors, the fuel temperature sensor, the MAP sensor, the rocker arm oil control valve, and the harness clips.
- Do the leak inspection procedure (see «LEAK INSPECTION»(ref-379885-S28545624302010121600000) ).
- Install the cowl cover and the under-cowl panel, refer to «COWL COVER REPLACEMENT»(ref-255527-S15281345902007060300000) ).
