  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 in.Hg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES -Go to step 3. NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  4. Disconnect the MAP sensor 3P connector.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  6. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 in.Hg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES -Go to step 12 . NO -Go to step 7.
  7. Measure the voltage between MAP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Is there about 5 V? YES -Go to step 16 . NO -Go to step 8.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  9. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  10. Disconnect ECM connector C (44P).
  11. Check for continuity between ECM connector terminal C13 and MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1. Is there continuity? YES -Go to step 23 . NO -Repair open in the wire between the ECM (C13) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 .
  12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  13. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  14. Disconnect ECM connector C (44P).
  15. Check for continuity between MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES -Repair short in the wire between the ECM (C11) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 . NO -Go to step 23 .
  16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  17. Replace the MAP sensor (see «MAP SENSOR REPLACEMENT»(ref-355119-S38467068872010012000000) ).
  18. Reconnect all connectors.
  19. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  20. Reset the ECM with the HDS.
  21. Do the ECM idle learn procedure (see «ECM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(ref-255526-S39475388272007060300000) ).
  22. Check for Pending or Confirmed or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES -Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM, then go to step 1 . NO -Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed or DTCs are indicated, go to the «INDICATED DTC'S TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-355119-S39784062052010012000000) .
  23. Reconnect all connectors.
  24. Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software (see «ECM UPDATE»(ref-355119-S38923566472010012000000) ), or substitute a known- good ECM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM»(ref-379880-S34678618312010121600000) ).
  25. Check for Pending or Confirmed or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES -Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM. If the ECM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM»(ref-379880-S34678618312010121600000) ), then recheck. If the ECM was substituted, go to step 1 . NO -If the ECM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM was substituted, replace the original ECM (see «ECM REPLACEMENT»(ref-355119-S26942562032010012000000) ). If any other Pending or Confirmed or DTCs are indicated, go to the «INDICATED DTC'S TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-355119-S39784062052010012000000) .
