Refacing Intake Valve Seats Reference Data. Scheme 92

  1. Pull middle of belt down firmly by hand, install drift 3204, and remove ribbed belt. see scheme 100: Pulling Middle Of Belt Down Firmly By Hand, Installing Drift 3204, And Removing Ribbed Belt
  2. Place alignment gauge 3201 into grooves on A/C compressor pulley. Hydraulic pump pulley must be aligned with pulley of A/C compressor (grooves aligned with gauge grooves, => inset). see scheme 101: Placing Alignment Gauge 3201 Into Grooves On A/C Compressor Pulley

If the two ribbed belt pulleys are not aligned

Identifying Exhaust Valve Seat Angles. Scheme 93

  1. Remove hydraulic pump pulley. see scheme 102: Removing Hydraulic Pump Pulley
  2. Install shims as needed to adjust pulley position and align both ribbed belt pulleys. Shims are available from Parts department in thicknesses of 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
