How to Replace the Bypass Valve Opel Astra G

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Raise vehicle
3. 3. Place collecting basin underneath.
4. 4. Remove oil filter • With KM-726-A (1)

5. 5. Remove bypass valve • Use thread cutter (1) (M10 - 3rd stage) to cut thread in locking disc • Tighten M10 bolt • Remove bypass valve from seat

Install

6. 6. Install bypass valve • Tap in bypass valve with mandrill (diameter 15 mm) up to the stop
7. 7. Wet sealing ring with oil
8. 8. Install oil filter • Tightening torque 15 Nm
9. 9. Lower vehicle
10. 10. Check and correct oil level
11. 11. Close bonnet
