Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Remove air cleaner housing (5) and air intake manifold (3) • 1 mass air flow meter wiring harness plug (4) • Unclip tank ventilation hose (1) • 1 fastening bolt (2) • 1 clip
  1. 3. Remove air intake manifold
  2. 4. Remove DIS-ignition module • Remove cover of DIS-ignition module in the direction of the arrow • 2 bolts • remove from spark plugs using KM-6009 (1)

Note. Note arrow on cover

  1. 5. Remove throttle body coolant hoses (1) and (2) • Collect coolant – Place collecting basin underneath. • from throttle body – 2 clips
  2. 6. Remove throttle body wiring harness plug • 1 wiring harness plug (4)
  3. 7. Remove throttle body from intake manifold • 4 bolts (3)
  1. 8. Remove spark plugs • using spark plug key KM-194-E
  2. 9. Remove relay holder cover
  3. 10. Remove fuel pump relay • Pull out of socket
  4. 11. Compression, Check • 4 cylinder • Start engine (approx. 4 seconds) • Compare compression values – Maximum pressure differential 100 kPa (1 bar)

Note. Engine revs at least 300/min

Install

  1. 12. Install fuel pump relay • Place into socket – Ensure plug contacts are sound
  2. 13. Install relay carrier cover
  3. 14. Install spark plugs • using spark plug key KM-194-E • Tightening torque 25 Nm
  4. 15. Replace throttle body using new seal on intake manifold • Clean sealing surface • 4 bolts – Tightening torque 8 Nm
  5. 16. Install throttle body wiring harness plug • 1 wiring harness plug – Lock wiring harness plug
  6. 17. Install throttle body coolant hoses • on throttle body – 2 clips
  7. 18. Install DIS-ignition module (1) • Replace seals (2) • 2 bolts • Tightening torque 8 Nm – Place cover on DIS-ignition module
  1. 19. Install air cleaner housing and air intake manifold • Place 1 mass air flow meter wiring harness plug • Clip in tank ventilation hose • 1 fastening bolt • 1 clip – Tightening torque 3.5Nm
  2. 20. Check coolant level and correct if necessary.
