Engine Oil with Filter Change Opel Astra G

Remove

Remove cover (1) from oil filter housing with oil filter insert. Remove oil drain bolt on oil pan – place collecting basin underneath.

Install

Attach oil drain bolt to oil pan with new seal ring – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.

Slide new seal ring (2) onto oil filter housing cover. Attach oil filter housing cover with new oil filter insert (3) to oil filter housing – tightening torque 15 Nm / 11 lbf. ft. Charge with prescribed engine oil quantity.

Engine Oil with Filter Change

Inspect

Start engine and allow to run until the oil pressure telltale extinguishes. Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.
