Oil Pump Intake Pipe Replacement Opel Agila B

Remove

Important. Observe the relevant environmental regulations when disposing of used engine oil.

1. 1. Remove oil filler cap
2. 2. Remove oil level dipstick from engine
3. 3. Raise vehicle
4. 4. Drain engine oil • Place collecting container below • Remove drain plug
5. 5. Remove oil filter from oil pan • Place collecting container below • Use Oil Filter Wrench KM-648

6. 6. Release centre exhaust pipe with muffler from front exhaust pipe • Remove 2x bolt (1), 2x spring
7. 7. Remove gasket from front exhaust pipe • Prise off using suitable tool

8. 8. Remove front exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold and centre exhaust pipe with muffler • Remove 2x bolt (1), 2x spring
9. 9. Remove gasket from exhaust manifold • Prise off using suitable tool

10. 10. Release oil pan from transmission • Remove bolt, nut (1) • Remove stud from oil pan – Use suitable tool
11. 11. Remove oil pan from engine block • Remove 17x bolt (2) • Release oil pan from engine block using Seal Breaker KMJ-37228
12. 12. Remove seal ring from oil pan • Prise off using suitable tool
13. 13. Remove dowel pin from oil pan • Prise out using suitable tool

14. 14. Remove oil pump intake pipe (1) from oil baffle plate • Remove bolt, nut

Install

15. 15. Install new oil pump intake pipe (1) to oil baffle plate • Install, bolt, nut 11 Nm

16. 16. Clean mating surface of engine block for oil pan (cleaning one surface)
17. 17. Install dowel pin to oil pan • Push in using suitable tool
18. 18. Install new seal ring (1) to oil pan • Apply clean engine oil to seal ring • Push in
19. 19. Apply suitable sealant to oil pan Width: 3 mm Height : 2 mm

Important. Tighten 17x bolt symmetrically to avoid oil pan distortion.

20. 20. Install oil pan to engine block • Install 17x new bolt 11 Nm • Clean off excess sealant from oil pan and engine block • Remove collecting container
21. 21. Secure oil pan to transmission • Install stud to oil pan – Use suitable tool • Install bolt, nut 18 Nm
22. 22. Clean mating surfaces of front exhaust pipe and exhaust manifold (cleaning both surfaces)
23. 23. Install new gasket to exhaust manifold • Push on
24. 24. Clean mating surfaces of front exhaust pipe and centre exhaust pipe with muffler (cleaning both surfaces)
25. 25. Install new gasket to front exhaust pipe • Push on
26. 26. Install new oil filter to oil pan • Apply clean engine oil to seal ring • Secure oil filter 14 Nm – Use Oil Filter Wrench KM-648
27. 27. Install drain plug 35 Nm to oil pan • Install new sealing washer

28. 28. Install front exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold and centre exhaust pipe with muffler • Install 2x spring, 2x bolt (1) 43 Nm

29. 29. Secure centre exhaust pipe with muffler to front exhaust pipe • Install 2x spring, 2x bolt (1) 43 Nm

30. 30. Lower vehicle
31. 31. Install oil level dipstick to engine
32. 32. Fill engine with oil to correct level
33. 33. Install oil filler cap
34. 34. Start engine to prime oil filter • Run engine until oil pressure indicator lamp has extinguished • Stop engine
35. 35. Check and correct engine oil level
