Remove and Install Thermostat Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery. • Detach ground clamp from ground terminal – Remove nut
3. 3. Raise vehicle by its entire height
4. 4. Place collecting basin underneath.
5. 5. Drain coolant • Place collecting basin underneath. • Attach a suitable hose to the drain connection • Open coolant drain plug (1) – Drain coolant • Close coolant drain bolt

6. 6. Lower vehicle by its entire height
7. 7. Detach wiring harness bracket (1) from thermostat housing • Unscrew nut (2)
8. 8. Separate thermostat wiring harness plug (4)
9. 9. Detach upper radiator hose (5) from coolant drain connection • Release clamp
10. 10. Remove thermostat (3) • Unscrew 4x bolt

Install

11. 11. Clean sealing surface
12. 12. Install thermostat • Tighten 4 bolts 8 Nm
13. 13. Attach upper coolant hose to coolant drain connection • Fasten clamp
14. 14. Attach wiring harness bracket to thermostat cover • Tighten nuts
15. 15. Connect thermostat wiring harness plug
16. 16. Cooling System, Top Up and Bleed
17. 17. Connect battery. • Attach ground clamp to ground terminal – Tighten nuts
18. 18. Program volatile memories
19. 19. Close bonnet
