Oxygen Sensor, Replace
Separate cable plug from splash plate.

Remove cable from retaining clamp (1) at heat protection shield.
Unscrew oxygen sensor:
- with 6 cylinder engine, from exhaust pipe,
- with 4 cylinder engine, from exhaust manifold.
Install
Fasten cable to retaining clamp! Ensure correct routing of cable.
Tighten oxygen sensor with 30 Nm/22 lbf. ft.
Important:
The thread of the oxygen sensor is coated with a special grease (lubricant) to prevent sticking.
New oxygen sensors are already provided with this special grease.
