MT and AT (without ETM) (if nominal value not attained)

Ignition ON

· Remove plug from throttle valve OPEN 5V · Short circuit between signal lead

switch Ter. 3 and ground

Display shows: Control unit defective

· Bridge Ter. 3 with centre contact * CLOSED 0V · Lead interruption from control unit

of throttle valve switch Ter. 3 to throttle valve switch Ter. 3

or from centre contact of throttle

Display shows: valve switch to ground

If nominal values not attained · Throttle valve switch defective

IMPORTANT!

On C 20 NEF engines full load switch (contact) in throttle valve switch do not apply.

This means: Accelerator fully depressednominal value: OPEN 5V

* Centre contact on throttle valve switch plug = Ter.18

Full load switch checking value:

Ter. 3/Ter. 18: Full load contact open: > 22K W

Full load contact closed: 0 W

* not on C 20 NEF

AT with ETM (if nominal value not attained)

Ignition ON

· Remove plug from throttle valve OPEN 5V · Short circuit between signal lead Ter. 5

part (6-pin) on throttle valve plug and ground (Ter. 4)

· Bridge Ter. 4+5 on throttle valve CLOSED 0V · Lead interruption from control unit Ter. 3

plug to throttle valve plug Ter. 5 or

Display shows: from throttle valve plug Ter. 4 to

ground

· Throttle valve switch not properly adjusted

· Control unit defective

Idling switch checking values:

Ter. 4 and Ter. 5: TV OPEN = > 22K W

TV CLOSED = 0 W
